Don't Ever Give Up! Racing For a Good Cause |

April 25 will mark the Fifth Annual V Foundation Charity Autocross held by Tar Heel Sports Car Club. In the past the club has raised thousands of dollars for cancer research and this year they hope to raise even more.
The club prides themselves on giving 100% of the proceeds from the event directly to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. So much so that if you’d like to help sponsor the event through a donation, they ask that you please make the check directly to them.
While a cash donation is always outstanding they also have a need for raffle donation items. And they don’t have to be motorsport or even autmotive in nature. Anything goes for a good cause.

2009 SCCA Solo Rules Available |

The 2009 SCCA National Solo Rules are available on-line by the SCCA Solo Department as a courtesy to our members, entrants, volunteers, and anyone interested in learning more about the technical regulations governing SCCA Solo Competition.
The on-line and downloadable versions of the Solo Rules are not official documents -- the only official Solo Rules are the printed Solo Rules as produced and distributed by the SCCA Solo Department. If you would like a copy of the printed Solo Rules, contact SCCA Merchandise via e-mail or call at (800) 770-2055.

A new driving school for the solo community is coming your way in 2009! Tim Aro and Jinx Jordan, veteran autocrossers and multi-time national champions, are combining efforts and are proud to announce the launch of SoloPro Driving School – an exciting new autocross school offering classes for driver’s of all abilities.
SoloPro Driving School offers three distinct classes, each with its own key objectives. Two of the classes, the Intro and Comp classes, are part of the Foundation Series which focuses on the most important fundamentals of performance driving and autocross competition. “The Intro and Comp are arguably the most important classes in our curriculum.” Jinx Jordan explains. “They provide the foundation upon which everything else is built.”
